| Established in Los Angeles in 1988, TenLab’s initial goal was to create products and provide solutions to solve incompatibility problems caused by different TV systems around the world. TenLab Multiplay VCR introduced in 1988 was the first NTSC VCR capable of playing foreign tapes. Next was the Multicombo, the first combination TV-VCR ready to play VHS tapes from every country in the world. In the early 1990s, TenLab started designing video converters for applications in the military, industry, education, etc., and the first consumer PAL NTSC converters soon followed. As technology kept changing, TenLab introduced new models and offered the possibility to upgrade its converters so customers could always have the latest technology. Thousands of TenLab converters are being used around the world: from the amateur to the professional video maker, from the aerospace industry to the military, from universities to system integrators, TenLab has strived to find the best solution for every conversion need, many times having to customize or create new products for a single client while providing one of the best customer’s supports in the industry. Almost 20 years of experience went into the development of the TenBox, created to fill the need for reliable storage expansion for DirecTV’s HDTV + DVR receivers. The best possible components and materials were used to make a product that performs flawlessly while offering much needed reliability in 24/7 operation. Three TenBox models are now available while more are to come in the future. |
